Residency again....
Another day with some interesting Internet comments on residency.
If you move back to the UK permanently, then yes you do need to get onto HMRC (and Impots). Classic case would be if you filled in a UK/France double tax form to get UK private pensions paid without tax.
HOWEVER and its a big however, don't blindly go and just assume you changed residency. If you have emptied your French house, put it on the market, moved your family to the Uk and are working there - yes, its clear. If you are part of the time in the UK and part in France, also if not working, then that is when you need to check out the rules in some detail...as you may not have changed residency.....
