Did you know....just because you live in France does not mean you escape UK Income tax.  A typical case: if you rent out UK property you must still file a UK tax return - if not, HMRC will issue fines, penalties and chase for money.  There are key other areas to watch - what is taxable in France, what is taxed in the UK and the basic question "Where am I resident for Tax" - sounds easy, it often is not!  

Why have worry or concern of underpaying or overpaying UK tax? If you use an existing advisor, ask yourself if they (1) provide value for money (2) are regulated and (3) are qualified to advise on UK tax. If not, think about us. 

Though the deadline for the 2024/25 tax return was 31 January 2026 even if you are late it is better to submit it slightly late vs very late as the penalties are lower.  Also if you realise your 2024/25 tax return is wrong (or you forgot a key part like the SA109 Non Residents form - mandatory for non residents) - we can help you submit an amended return.  This can save you a lot of money if you declared yourself as UK resident when you were not.

For those people needing checks on residency and preparing tax returns we offer the following sets of services:

(1) Loyalty service:  only available to ongoing tax return clients, we offer a discounted price of EUR 169 per return (GBP 149/return) for tax returns completed by 31 October 2026 for the 2025/26 tax year, presuming no major changes in circumstances. 

(2) Simple service: a quality, fixed price service (EUR 179/GBP 159 all in, no TVA/VAT to add) which will check your tax residency for the tax year and prepare a UK tax return based on info you provide.  We keep it simple - provide records in whatever form you have - even bank statements with some comments - and we will do the rest. 

This service is designed for people who live in France and have UK property or properties they let out and pensions or if you are UK resident and have standard UK affairs to manage such as salaries/pensions/interest income/limited UK property letting, and where work is completed by 31 December 2026 for the 2025/26 tax year. 

If you have more than three properties requiring tax work or require "split year" treatment we make a slightly higher charge of EUR 199 all in.   

In addition we can help on other matters such as:

* investigating potential tax overpayments in past years;
* completing your P85 form (leaving the UK form for HMRC);
* NRL1 forms (legally required to get your rent gross in the UK while resident abroad); or
* UK/France Double Tax forms related to Pension Lump sums or ongoing payments.
